We share with you the great joy of having been able to celebrate Holy Week in person in Loeches, although with limited numbers in attendance.
Making the most of the space and the different chapels that we have, we were able to hold different activities at the same time. We welcomed a group of young people from Madrid who had the experience of filling themselves “simply from the Joy and Peace that the Risen Jesus gives”. We also offered an experience of prayer for new people, a silent retreat for adults, and an “Open Easter” where people could participate, coming and going freely, with talks, the Stations of the Cross, moments of prayer etc. But in all this, we gathered together for the main liturgies of Holy Week as one united missionary family around the Lord.
It has been very moving to gather together again after this year of pandemic, to pray together and to keep celebrating that “His Resurrection releases a force of life that has penetrated the world. Where it seems that everything has died, in so many places there appears new signs of the resurrection. It is an unstoppable force.” (cf. EG 276).
The people went home very happy and renewed in their hope to keep moving on as witnesses of the crucified one who in resurrecting conquered evil, sin and death forever.
